R.I.P Mr. Wizard

P

I'd just like to take the time an remember Don Herbert, also known as Mr. Wizard, who lost his battle with bone cancer yesterday.

Oh Mr. Wizard, how I used to be kind of scared of your bushy white eyebrows when I was kid, but soon learned to love the wacky and house hold projects I could make with baking soda and soda bottles.

Ok, so I was too little to really do any of the projects but I still remember watching Mr. Wizard's World on Nickelodeon in the late 80s to see what would explode next.

He will be greatly missed and forever be a big part of pop culture.
Without Mr. Wizard, Bill Nye the Science Guy and Beakman's World would never exist, but that's ok because Beakman's World kind of sucked.

Here is the last interview with Mr. Wizard himself, as well as a recipe for a super duper science project!!!

What was the best part about the show? Why the insane mind blowing opening credits!! Enjoy! Special thanks to youtube.com

Beakman's world was great. One of his lab assistants does all of the female voices on south park!

Anyhow, like all other dead men of science, Mr. will be missed.

Really? I didn't know that about the lab assistant! When I was a kid we used to watch Mr. Wizard and Bill Nye in science class. I thought Beakman was interesting enough because he looked like Kramer, but for some reason I always thought of Beakman's World as a Ritalin fueled crazy house.
